He is Faithful
Today’s Scripture:
”Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
- Hebrews 10:23 -
The Lord gives us visions and dreams of his fulfilled promises to strengthen our faith and give us hope and a glimpse into what's to come. However, it isn't our responsibility to fulfill the Lord's promises; it's his. Yet, we often think it's up to us and our ability to make His promises come to pass.
Our society has told us, "God only helps those who help themselves," and our religious beliefs have told us (in the wrong context) that "faith without works is dead." If we believe the two former statements, we end up taking the promises of God and making them our burdens. Yet, the heart of God is to bring us into a finished work, which is also why he shows us the completed promise instead of the process of getting there.
The Lord continually told the children of Israel that he had "given" the land(s) to them, which implies the work to acquire the land was complete. Applying this to the visions and dreams the Lord has given you is the same principle. The pictures he has shown you are statements of fact and glances into his finished work.
I encourage you to believe in the Lord and not worry about your current circumstances. Just like he led the children of Israel step by step to possess what he had already given them, he will do the same for you. He will guide you by the Spirit into his completed promise.
